Paul Sochacki “Geometry of Condition”
selective properties
If life were a dream
would it be long enough
to include all possible
forms of tragedy, every
species stranded
between forms, outside
themselves looking in,
between the unbuilt
floors in the property
of the future? We are
alone, and we are poor
in spirit and in the face
of the coins upon which
history and the world are
engraved, but which are
somehow incapable of holding
our reflections. We are
fragile, impossible beings
falling from the sky
with the rain.
