Marginal Consort

Mazuo Imai. Tomonao Koshikawa. Kei Shii. Masami Tada.

On the 6th of June one of the rare performances of the Japanese Noise-Impro-Collective Marginal Consor was happening at Berlins St. Elisabeth church. Kazuo Imai, Tomonao Koshikawa, Kei Shii and Masami Dada took the visitors (who were allowed to sit freely over the room and by that in between them) on a three-hour-magical-trip through time and space, drifting with them along to their improvised sounds coming from traditional instruments as well as everyday objects and natural objects.

Berlin city paper ExBerliner published as preliminary an interview with Kazuo Imai; on the site of the organisators one could find professionell photos of the performance, here on Kaput you get a very subjective impression in (moving) pictures and sound of what it means to experience a performance of Marginal Consort.

Thanks to PAN for making this special night happen.
