Le Guess Who? 2023 – an endless list of common faves and upcoming artists,

Marta Salogni & Valentina Magaletti

The summer ends and  fall knocks with all its power on our doors and souls – and thankfully Utrecht based Le Guess Who? festival helps us fighting against the seasonal melancholic feelings coming along with the change of weather and clothes and mood.

Between the 9th and 12th of November the who is who of Avantgarde and Electronic music once more will travel to Holland to perform for a truly international crowd. Programm highlights include this year the final EU performance of legendary New York outfit ESG’s, a solo performance of Alan Sparhawk (of Low fame), the collaboration of Caterina Barbieri & Space Afrika with MFO as well as the collaboration of Dudu Tassa & Jonny Greenwood – and a program curated by rising Uk producer and dj re:ni, who invited the stunning lineup of DJ SHERELLE, Lee Gamble and DJ Stingray 313.

But thats only some personal picks of mine, the lineup is (typical for Le Guess Who?) an endless list of common faves and upcoming artists, programmed by the 2023 curators Heba Kadry (bringing in among others Marta Salogni & Valentina Magaletti, Alessandro Cortini and ZULI & Omar El Sadek present λ), Nala Sinephro (who bills f.e. Crystallmess, Model/Actriz, Nyokabi Kariūki), Slauson Malone 1 (bringing in black midi performing The Beatles,  Mark Leckey, Richard Dawson…), Stereolab (who invited Irreversible Entanglements, James Holden and Kali Malone’s ‘Does Spring Hide Its Joy’ ft. Lucy Railton & Stephen O’Malley and many more) and already mentioned re:ni as well as the Le Guess Who? in-house curators.
