A true icon: Peaches’ “The Teaches of Peaches”…

„The Teaches of Peaches”
(Kitty Yo)

Peaches has been with me since 2000 and continues to be so today, in 2025. I’ve had two intense photo shoots with her that were incredibly rocking—thanks to her strong personality and uncompromising attitude. A total highlight was a quick backstage photo in 2024 with her dancers.

Musically and socially, Peaches is an important inspiration and trailblazer for me, especially for FLINTA* artists.
Her striking stage presence, political activism, and clear commitment to LGBTQ+ issues have made her a true icon for me. Her direct, fearless manner motivates and encourages me time and again. She has had a lasting impact on pop and subculture and creates vitally important spaces for visibility and diversity.

But my best moment was when she spontaneously visited my solo exhibition “Music Was My First Love” in Berlin, where she was hanging in the Björk, Peaches, Nina Hagen series—and suddenly stood in front of this picture. Thank you for that. Also to Danielle de Picciotto, who arranged it at the time.

The soundtrack to all this: “The Teaches of Peaches.”

Love you, Peaches.
