Big Ears Festival 2025
Improvisation meets avant-garde, noise meets jazz, electronics meets sacred ambient: the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee, will remain an exceptional event in the international music and art calendar in 2025. For four days, the city was transformed into an open laboratory for experimental sounds and artistic border crossings beyond genre boundaries. Between concert halls, churches, small clubs and off-spaces, an audience came to listen – really listen. Our photo gallery (courtesy Big Ears Festival) shows some highlights from this year’s program. A detailed follow-up report on Big Ears 2025 will follow.
