The Age of Innocence
Back in 1996, when this interview with Stella Plazonja, Myriam Brüger und Carol von Rautenkranz took place, the famous German label L’Age d’Or was still based in the now legendary location of Max-Brauer-Allee, 163.
Pretty much every German band back then dreamt of making their way up those stairs to the office. In practice it wasn’t that easy once you made it to the back yard where they were located between a furniture shop and a Removal business.
While we were in the office they asked us to help send out the promotion copies of Die Sterne’s 12-inch „Trümmer“ (back then this meant 400 promos, no kidding!). In the clip to this song the band are driving along the Côte d’Azur (or is it the riviera? it’s so hard for us mere mortals to tell) and felt quite important („ganz schön bedeutend“).
The interview was conducted by myself and Markus Koch and was published for the initially in Harakiri, the Magazin I ran in the 90s with Stefan Röttger and Dietmar Bosch.
