Thank Me Later w/ Ásgeir
Normally Ásgeir would be on tour with the songs of his new album „Bury The Moon“ – but you know the storyline…
Well, the Icelandic artist is definitely not taking it easy in isolation, he reacts on Corona with creativity and a super high output level.
Make sure not to miss his Youtube-Trilogie „Is anybody listening?“, for which he combined lyrics of his father – the poet Einar Einarsson is bringing in the introductions to the clips – with his music. Besides that he played a concert for the arte series “Concerts à la Maison“ and on 22nd of April he will perform as part of the Rough Trade Transmissions on the RT Insta-Channel.
That in mind we are super happy that he also found time to conduct this playlist for kaput, featuring among others Frank Ocean, Big Thief, Moses Sumney, GoGo Penguin and Sigur Rós.
„This is just a collection of songs that have moved and inspired me recently in some way, it’s a very diverse playlist that starts with some very mellow and slow songs but ends with more upbeat party songs. Some of the songs and artists on there have been with me for a long time but most of them are pretty recent discoveries. I tried to put it in an order that made sense to me.“
