On November 15 Belgian musician Youniss Ahamad will drop a new EP with remixes by DJ Haram, Seigfried Komidashi, Aram Santy and KMRU from tracks of his 2023 album „White Space“ (released through Ghent-based VIERNULVIER imprint).

We are very happy to present you already today the remix by KMRU (whom we featured lately as part of our EM GUIDE project on kaput with a long read interview by Samuel Obernosterer) to the track „Walad“ together with the beautiful video by Youniss Ahamad.

KMRU about his working process on the remix:
“I was excited to explore what could emerge from the track „Walad“ as it had many elements to work with, and the textures of the song are quite raw.”

Youniss Ahamad about why he has chosen KMRU and how he experiences the remix:
“I met KMRU at Le Guess Who? In 2022. I quickly became a big fan of his work, we met again in 2023 in Antwerp where he had a residency creating the sound for a dance piece.
„Walad“ is the most percussive outlier in the White Space record and I was happy he wanted to remix that song. His take is hauntingly beautiful.”
