Kling-Klang-Studio

Kraftwerk

In an ordinary backyard near Düsseldorf’s main train station you’ll find the rooms which until 2009 played home to the legendary Kling-Klang-Studio of Kraftwerk.
While the band’s own studio is now relocated in a Düsseldorf suburb, you still find the ghosts of hits like Trans-Europa-Express and The Model here. Recently the studio has become available to electronic musicians as part of an artists-in-residence programme called LIVE at ELEKTRO MÜLLER, initiated by Open Source Festival.

Thomas Venker walked by during the 2015 edition of Open Source Festival to record a video and take some picture of this historic ground.
