Berlin Atonal 2023 – Festival Announcement

Eleven days in the Kraftwerk: Berlin Atonal 2023

Function at Berlin Atonal 2019

Berlin Atonal is one of those festivals out there, kaput is trying hard not to miss, simply cause each edition is like a wonderland of new discoveries and reunions with established inspirations and friends. After first a pandemic caused break and then in the aftermath the “Metabolic Rift” exhibition and the “X100” Festival, Berlin Atonal finally returns to Kraftwerk for its first regular edition in four years. Between September 7th and 17th – yes, the festival runs now over two weekends and eleven days in total – Berlin Atonal presents, we quote the official press info, “a wider and more comprehensive selection of new commissioned works, world premiere performances, artistic interventions and late night music offerings.”

So far the 2023 lineup is still top secret, first artists will be announced in early July – but as we trust deeply in Laurens von Oswald, Paulo Reachi, Harry Glass and their team, we suggest to go ahead and reserve a ticket now (before coming to late); there are festival tickets available for the whole eleven days as well as Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 passes; also be aware, the festival is now a Biennale and will only return 2025 to Berlin.

See you in the Kraftwerk.
And in the meantime, feel free to revisit our past Berlin Atonal coverage. 😊
