Liebert-Kuration (III)

“I am the loneliest person in the world” – Zu Besuch bei Sameheads

Da reden alle so.

Amen.

PLAYLIST: 10 Mental Trax for Generation Lockdown

Nathan Dukes: Apolocalypse now, invisible wars, masks on Karl Marxstr but not Sonnenallee. Not much makes sense right now, but we can all agree that music is one kind of antidote, or perhaps more appropriately a sedative for todays times. I say grab that bottle of gin, and slip into something more comfortable. This playlist might make you weep for all the lost tomorrow’s.

STRAIGHT SHOOTER – “Frame of Mind”

Freewheeling electromagnetic Düsseldorf natives Straight Shooter open the flood gates with this somewhat twisted piece of schreeching psychedelic introversion… Futuristic road races for mid-life crisis former nightclub owners.

Carmen – “Es ist kalt um mich herum”

Exploring isolation through a kind of general disdain for other human beings… The equivalent of walking down the street on a rainy day in Berlin with a stranger beating you with a stick measuring 1.5 metres in length

Rodion GA – “in linistea noptii”

After being beaten with the stick, you ponder your position in the pecking order of things with this outrageously good piece of composition from Bucharest legend Rodion G.A.

Arthur Brown & Craig Leon “Morning was Cold”

What a collab this was / is. The eccentric flamboyance of Sir Arthur juxtaposed alongside multi-talented composing influencer Craig Leon.. Together they whip up a visceral post lockdown landscape of ecstacy and doom.

Julee Cruise – “I Float Alone”

To balance the chill left in the room, Julee brings a slighter warmer image of what loneliness can look like.

Klaus Schulze – “Some Velvet Phasing”

Deep. Rich. Melancholic, mercury-lined pockets full of sand. The sands of time ebbing away for any possible resolution to this mess.

Insulin Reaction – “Lonely Lady (What’s The Point)”

Hey you Gothy-Wave-ers out there. a shot in the arm for standing your ground in a room full of brainwashed numb-nuts….. positve channeling of pure frustration.

Edgar Froese – “Specific Gravity of Smile”

The bosom buddy of the effort from Klaus Schulz, Egdar Frosse, best known for leadership of German Krautrockers Tangering Dream, brings us a cascade of whisteling waterfalls for a better tomorrow.

Will Power – “Dancing for Mental Health”

Er, yeah, this is about getting stuck with your partner / family for far too many days non-stop… Lockdown reality for a number of humans. Don’t worry though, you get 1 hour a day outside exercise.

The Pretty Things – “Loneliest Person in the World”

Does exactly what it says on the tin. But, he’s wrong, I am the loneliest person in the world.
